Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2020

Mayo County Council invites towns and villages within the county to submit Expressions of Interest for inclusion in the Town & Village Renewal Scheme 2020.

The Town & Village Renewal Scheme is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development. It is a key part of the Action Plan for Rural Development and is one of a range of measures designed to support the revitalisation of rural Ireland under the Government’s Project Ireland 2040 Rural Regeneration Programme.

The Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2020 provides funding for rural towns and villages for delivery of projects in 2020 and 2021 with a particular focus on projects that support the economic and social recovery of towns and villages in response to COVID-19 challenges.

This scheme also supports public-realm type activities and the enhancement of town centre amenities. Only one application for any individual town or village can be submitted.

Applicants are encouraged to read the scheme outline prior to completing the Expression of Interest Form. The Expression of Interest Form and scheme outline is available on mayococo.ie and on mayo.ie or by contacting the Community and Integrated Development Section, Mayo County Council.

Completed Expression of Interest Forms should be submitted by email only to [email protected] on or before 5pm on Wednesday 15th July, 2020. No Expressions of Interest will be accepted after that time. If you have any queries, please make contact by email at [email protected] or by phone 094-90 64660.
