Le Cheile Family Resource Centre, Castlebar is looking for volunteers to assist them with their Christmas Food Appeal which will take place at Tesco, Castlebar on Fri. 29th & Sat. 30th Nov. and Sun. 1st Dec. 10.00am – 6.00pm each day.
Volunteers will be asked to cover the collection point at Tesco’s for a 2 hour shift but anytime that can be given will be much appreciated.
The food collected will be used to create hampers for those most in need locally over the Christmas period. You will be helping families in need to access a Christmas Hamper on Christmas Day.

The Switching on of #Belmullet Christmas lights will take place this Saturday 30th November at 6pm.

 

Christmas Movies Under the Stars is a family friendly outdoor event. Bring your chairs, cushions, blankets and treats and enjoy a magical night of a festive Christmas movie on the big screen. Popcorn, drinks and hot chocolate will also be available.

Turf Times in Taugheen!
Santa and his elves launched the Taugheen Community Council Christmas Raffle on his recent visit to Taugheen Hall. First prize is a Trailer of Turf (sourced locally in Derryfad Bog). The raffle will be held in Fordes Country Club on Sat. Dec 14th at 10pm. Refreshments, Treats, Guests, Music and lots of Festive Fun on the night.
Santa lauded the wide range of community activities promoted by the Council during the year. He switched on the Christmas Lights, selected the fancy dress winners, presented free gifts to the children, officiated at the Litter Awareness Art Project and mingled merrily with the large Yuletide gathering.
