Bealach Nua, the family peer support service in Mayo Mental Health Services is delighted to host this information evening in collaboration with Dr. Jeananne Garavan for family members, carers & supporters of individuals with a mental health diagnosis.
Dr. Garavan is a Senior Clinical Psychologist in Primary Care Adult Psychology services based in Castlebar. With over 18 years’ experience in Adult Mental Health, Jeananne is also qualified as a Cognitive- Analytic Therapy Practitioner. She regularly contributes to the NUIG Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme through lecturing and supervision.
This interactive evening aims to enhance family members, carers /supporter’s self-care and wellbeing, by exploring the emotions associated with supporting a family member with a mental health challenge and developing an in-depth understanding of positive coping strategies
