Mayo Mountain Rescue is now welcoming applications for aspirant team members to train and progress towards becoming full members of our team.
Mayo Mountain Rescue Team (MMRT) is a dedicated, highly skilled voluntary organisation providing mountain search and rescue services across Mayo – and nationwide when called upon. We are a 24/7, 999/112 emergency service, responding whenever people get into difficulty in the hills and mountains.
Being part of MMRT is challenging, rewarding, and life-changing. As a volunteer, you’ll:
– Help save lives and bring people safely off the hills
– Train with experienced mountaineers and rescue specialists
– Develop your skills in navigation, rescue techniques, and teamwork
– Become part of a supportive, committed community of volunteers
We are looking for people who are:
– Passionate about the outdoors and physically active
– Willing to dedicate time to training and callouts
– Ready to contribute their unique skills and energy to the team
