Linkage Groups are the way that Mayo PPN members have input into policy in their area of operation and work by bringing together member organisations with a common interest to discuss their diverse views and interests in a specific policy area.
This comprehensive training initiative is focused on PPN Linkage Group Support and Development services and will be delivered across each of the four (4) Municipal Districts in 2025.
Community participation with representation by community people is a core function of the Public Participation Network. This programme of training and upskilling is for any member who wishes to increase their understanding and knowledge of PPN, understand the opportunities available for advocating for policy change and development of new policy.
Participation is primarily concerned with giving people a voice in the development process in response to community needs with equal opportunity for everyone to participate.
Training will take place in each of the Municipal Districts:
Ballina MD
Castlebar MD
Claremorris/Swinford MD
Westport/Belmullet MD
Training dates will be announced in early 2025.
