Mayo County Council is seeking Expressions of Interest to select membership of the Mayo Local Community Safety Partnership (LCSP) in sectors outlined below. This is a voluntary position. An assessment committee will be formed to assess all applications and to identify members.
The LCSP is being established in line with the Policing, Security and Community Safety Act 2024. The Partnership is a collaborative initiative that brings together community members, local councillors, statutory services, and the community and voluntary sector to improve safety and wellbeing across the county.
A key premise of the partnership approach is that every community is different and that the membership seeks to include the broadest of representation across sectoral interests, demographics and community interests in community safety.
To ensure inclusive and balanced input, the Partnership now seeks representation from the following stakeholder groups:
- Resident Representatives
- Youth Representatives
- Business Representatives
- Older person Representatives
If you are interested in representing one of the groups listed above, please complete the Expression of Interest (EOI) form and submit it before the stated deadline. Forms can be found below:
Expression of Interest forms must be sent to Mayo Local Community Safety Partnership, Mayo House, Moneen, Castlebar, Co Mayo, F23N5O4 or emailed to [email protected] to arrive no later than Friday 7th of November at 12pm.
