The spotlight was on Ballina on November 12-13th 2021 when Mayo marked the end of the United Nations Climate Change Conference COP 26 in Glasgow with two days of talks, workshops, demonstrations and walks around Ballina.
The Gathering brought together events for youths, community groups, individuals and businesses.
A space for Mayo communities to learn from each other on how to reduce their carbon footprint and to identify supports and funding opportunities that are available.
Session 1: Presentations from Mulranny, Mayo’s first Decarbonising Zone, Ballina Green Town and Tourmakeady Sustainable Energy Community followed by Q&A.
Session 2: Panel discussion with SEAI, Leader, CARO and Wild Atlantic Nature This event was hosted by Mayo PPN as part of Mayo’s Climate Action Gathering 2021.
