It has grown into the largest competition recognising community development achievements on the island of Ireland.
The 2024 Award Ceremony and Gala Dinner was livestreamed on the Pride of Place website, allowing communities across Ireland to join in the celebration.
Cathaoirleach Cllr. John O’Hara said “This award highlights the strength and resilience of our communities in Mayo. The success of our groups here tonight is a shining example of what can be achieved when people work together towards a common goal. Congratulations to everyone involved.”
Mayo County Council would like to congratulate all that participated, and wish them every success with future projects.
