Catch Rising Star Brad Heidi Live in Killala’s Stunning Cathedral This Mayo Day Weekend!
Don’t miss your chance to experience one of Ireland’s fastest-rising music stars, Brad Heidi, live in the breathtaking setting of St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Killala on Friday, May 2nd, as part of the Mayo Day celebrations.
Brad Heidi, one of Ireland’s most exciting up-and-coming artists – who has supported James Blunt, Billy Joel, and Allie Sherlock, and featured on Fanning at Whelan’s – will perform alongside the brilliant Macdara Ó Dwyer in a stunning, atmospheric setting for what promises to be an unforgettable night of live music.

THE BIG DAY ON THE MALL IS BACK!
We’re excited to announce that the Big Day on the Mall in Castlebar is back for its second year! Join us on Saturday, May 3rd, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a full day of fantastic music, entertainment, and fun!
Following the success of last year’s event, Music Generation Mayo are bringing this vibrant celebration back to the heart of the Mall. This year’s event will feature a wide range of performances from our talented local ensembles, bands and solo acts, including the Mayo Youth Orchestra, Mayo Harp Ensemble, and Mayo Uilleann Pipe Ensemble, as well as exciting acts such as Joanne Gallagher, Beatboxer DC, Siofra O’Grady and Frankie Stephens and many more bands from Fret Frenzy and The Core.
There’s something for everyone to enjoy, with lots of interactive events, including an Open Mic, a Drum Circle, an open Trad Session, and a Massive Ukulele Jam. You can also get creative with Instrument Making Workshops, and explore a variety of instruments from our Instrument Bank in the library . Be sure to enjoy some delicious bites from our Food Stalls, and drop by the Pet Farm for a bit of outdoor fun!

Celebrate the grand finale of Mayo Day in Ballycroy with a lively Céilí at the Community Centre this Saturday 3rd May from 7:30pm! Experience fantastic live traditional music from Cillian McNeela (button accordion), Catherine Joyce (piano & flute), Áine Fox (fiddle), Peter Fox (flute), and Alex Dunlop (céilí drums), along with a special performance by the O’Connor School of Dance

Acting for Camera is a workshop aimed at 9 to 12 year olds interested in acting or being in front of the camera 

This is an Irish language workshop suitable for all levels of language ability as part of Lá Mhaigh Eo celebrations.

If you are interested in acting for camera or being in front of camera come and join professional actor Lochlann Ó Mearáin to learn some techniques to hone your skills or start your journey.
