Mayo Local Community Development Committee LCDC is pleased to announce that it has been selected by the Department of Rural and Community Development to prepare a Local Development Strategy for the 2023-2027 LEADER programme. With a budget of €180 million for the country and €8.8 million for County Mayo, the 2023-2027 LEADER programme will continue to offer significant support to Mayo communities in the areas of rural environment, enterprise development, and social inclusion.
Mayo LCDC wants to hear your views. From mid April to mid May there will be a series of community consultations taking place across Mayo. The LCDC is very excited to get out and meet with members of the community and is delighted that the work on the 2023-2027 LEADER programme has started in Mayo. The community consultations are open to all and will inform the future of development in County Mayo. The community consultations will kick off on the 13th April 2023 and dates and locations are advertised on Mayo.ie and Mayo PPN websites. Please refer to the interactive map at www.mayo.ie
Chairman of the LCDC, Councillor Neil Cruise said, “I encourage individuals and community groups around the county to come along to the community consultations and express your ideas which will help us to develop the new LEADER Local Development Strategy”.
