The Minister for Climate, Environment and Energy and Transport, Darragh O’Brien TD has announced a package of new and increased SEAI grants to make it more affordable and easier for homeowners to upgrade their homes, making them warmer, healthier, more comfortable and more sustainable – with lower energy bills.
New measures include:
· New grant to replace windows and doors
· New grant for attic insulation for first-time buyers, of up to €2,500
· Significant uplift for existing grants for cavity wall insulation and attic insulation for everyone
· Higher grants for homeowners on Qualifying Welfare Payments – under the Warmer Homes Scheme
· Significant uplift to heat pump grant
· And new rules to allow homeowners avail of a second grant for wall insulation if you availed of one previously
Note there are requirements to meet for all of these changes, and some come in from the 3rd of February of this year, and some from the 2nd of March.
