About the Programme
Neart na mBan – Strength of Women, is a free civic empowerment programme bringing Women in Government and Politics workshops to five communities across County Mayo in May 2026.
Coordinated by the Mary Robinson Centre, co-facilitated with See Her Elected, funded by Mayo County Council , through the Department of Housing and local Government fund Increasing Diversity and the Participation of Women in Local Government, and supported by the Mayo Public Participation Network, the programme is the action-oriented follow-on to the Glór na mBan Mhaigh Eo documentary project, which celebrated the lived experiences, memories, and hopes of rural women across County Mayo.
