Attymass Community Games

We organise the area community games in Attymass. The community games in Attymass were not running for a long number of years. This current Attymass community games committee established 3 years ago. We currently run training sessions in draughts, quizzes and athletics. Throughout the spring we run and have competitors in Draughts, Quizzes, gymnastics, swimming, athletics, art and handwriting. Some of the children go on to National finals. It is more than just competition the children love coming together to practice and compete with each other outside of school. It develops their team work skills, reinforces positive competition and fairplay . Another important benefit of training is that children are mixing and away from computer and digital devices. We in Attymass community games aim to involve children of different abilities hence we do not focus on athletics but also on creative and team activities.
