Charlestown Cubs Basketball Club

Charlestown Cubs Basketball Club caters for girls from age 8 to Senior who train & play competitively during the Basketball season. We cater for Under 10’s, 12’s, 14’s, 16’s & a mixed Senior team - total comprises of 117 registered members. We are affiliated with Basketball Ireland and play in the Mayo League & Cup. Our mixed seniors team plays in arranged games with other clubs. Our objective is to encourage girls to start basketball at a young age , not only for fitness but for mental well being & social inclusion. And for them to grow through the categories & take with them the skills they learn which will benefit them in their lives. In 2020 we opened our doors to boys and had 15 boys U12 train this season. We hope to include more age groups next season.
