Claremorris West Community Alert

Claremorris West Community Alert Programme will have 250 approx. active members some of whom are elderly living alone and other vulnerable people from the community • It is a crime prevention, community care and safety programme for rural communities. • It encourages the community to proactively participate in improving the quality of life and safety of the community in general • It proactively engages with An Garda Síochána and Liaison Gardaí The Benefits of this programme are: • Enhanced crime prevention status for Community Alert with improved community/Garda participation • Reduction in crime • Community feels safer • Increased relations between An Garda Síochána and the community • Gardaí are now able to get information to the community instantly
