Erris/AchillPowerboat Club

Founded on a love of the sea and a commitment to community safety, the Erris / Achill Powerboat Club exists to bring people together around responsible, exciting, and educational maritime activity. The club shall be known as the "Erris / Achill Powerboat Club." Founded in 2008 as the Achill/Belmullet Powerboat Club, the Club is established to promote water safety, community bonding, and involvement in local maritime activities in Erris and Achill. 1. Name of the Club since 2025 Erris / Achill Powerboat Club 2. Objectives of the Club • Promote water safety through training, public awareness campaigns, and joint exercises with statutory rescue services. • Foster community bonding by running inclusive events, volunteering opportunities, and local partnerships. • Encourage youth development by creating pathways for young people into boating, seamanship, leadership, and maritime careers. • Support charitable activity and educational outreach aligned with the Irish Sailing Association (ISA) standards. • Promote safety at sea through ISA certified courses.
