Gurteen Cultural & Heritage Society

We are a village based society set up in 2018 to coincide with the launch of a hardback book, reflecting on the pat 100 years in Gurteen. Since then we have celebrated the 65th anniversary of our landmark Grotto which marks the entrance to our village. This was a very successful, well documented event where the 125 strong neighbourhood support this event. At Chistmas we decorated the village with lighted lanterns and erected a Crib in the village. Other annual events held in our village incude, stations, easter parade participation, bonfire, summer outing, village cleanup, halloween party andChristmas outing. We have a wonderful community spirit and have plans to enhance our village appearance, while involving all residents living in Gurteen.
