Knock Shrine

Knock Shrine, Co. Mayo is an international pilgrimage destination and ranks among the world’s major Marian Shrines. As a unique place of prayer and pilgrimage, Knock Shrine welcomes over a million visitors annually from all over the world each year. Every year, the Shrine runs a rich and broad programme of events encompassing retreats, sacred music concerts and workshops as well as daily Masses & Ceremonies. Set in over 100 acres of landscaped gardens, the grounds offer a peaceful, contemplative space in which to pray and reflect. The five churches within the Shrine offer many outstanding features, artworks and areas of interest. The history of the Shrine can be explored with a visit to the award-winning Knock Museum which walks visitors through the rich history of this special place.
