Louisburgh Foróige is a volunteer lead club which meet twice weekly during school term in Louisburgh Town Hall from 7:30 to 10 pm on Tuesday and Books @One from 8 to 9:30 pm on a Wednesday catering for 12 to 18-year olds from the local area. All volunteers are trained by Foróige to work within Foróige guidelines and standards and all volunteers have been vetted and have received child protection training. We run many inter club events throughout the year enabling our young people to develop social skills and through our community involvement our young members take on responsible roles in carrying out both fundraising and interacting with the many other volunteer groups within our community. Over the years the profile of Louisburgh Foróige has been raised to such an extent that many outside organisations seek our assistance with various projects. We also partake in the many county and national events run by Foróige Ireland. In summing up we fundamentally offer a safe alcohol and drug free environment for teen to become community aware and socially active and enhance their personal development.
