Mayo Mental Health Association

Mayo Mental Health Association provides a confidential signposting service for persons of the community experiencing mental health difficulties, or if they require guidance for members of their family we can do that through our directory of services. Currently in partnership with the HSE, St. Vincent de Paul and Mayo County Council we provide good quality accommodation for over 40 residents in Castlebar, Westport and Ballina whom are experiencing mental health difficulties. Schools Education Programme: "Breathe" was set up in 2013 to promote, participate and facilitate mental health awareness and well-being for students in an interactive format. This programme currently involves 25 secondary schools and engages with up to 10, 500 pupils. Health Promotion: - Primary Schools Art Poster Competition - Community Health Promotion Initiatives - Community Partnership Programmes with the HSE, Mayo GAA, FAI, Mayo Sports Partnership, etc. - Seminars - Mental Health Fairs
