Muintir Chill Damhnait was formed to help develop and promote area through Creating hill walks (Slí Ghráinne Mhaol) Cycle route (Atlantic Drive), Festivals (Féile Chill Damhnait), (Achill Sheep Show), Historical Talks, Surveying and documenting history of old Kildownet Graveyard, Preserving Old anchor from Armada, Restoring old Coastguard Boathouse, Cleaner Community awareness, and many other projects.
