ST. MARYS INDIAN ORTHODOX CONGREGATION
St. Mary’s Indian Orthodox Congregation, Mayo is a Christian faith community belonging to the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church (Indian Orthodox Church), one of the ancient Christian Churches tracing its heritage to the ministry of St. Thomas the Apostle in India in A.D. 52. The congregation was established to serve the spiritual and pastoral needs of Indian Orthodox families and other faithful residing in County Mayo and surrounding areas. We gather regularly for worship, prayer, fellowship, religious education, and community service. Our principal religious service is the Holy Qurbana (Holy Mass), which is celebrated monthly at St. Aloysius Church, Breaffy, County Mayo. The congregation also organizes prayer meetings, charitable activities, family and youth programs, and celebrations of important Christian feasts and festivals.
