Other Tongue, Mother Tongue is a Poetry initiative launched during Social Inclusion Awareness Week. The initiative will run for several weeks and invites poetry submissions from those who would like to submit a poem in their mother tongue (where English is not their first language).
Edith Geraghty MTSG Co-ordinator is leading out on this initiative in conjunction with Darina Molloy, Castlebar Library, Mayo Arts Office and Community Section Mayo County Council and the Social Inclusion Working Group. The aim is to celebrate and showcase the rich diversity of the people who live in Mayo. The competition is open to all ages and there will be 3 prizes awarded and featured on Mayo.ie/socialinclusionweek
Closing Date for Entries is 27th November, Poems can be in English and if using another language should be submitted with an English Translation and sent to [email protected]
