If you live within 20km of Sheskin Wind Farm, you can apply for up to €15,000 to start or develop a community project.
Choose from a selection or proven ideas, or apply with your own idea related to education, energy, sustainable communities, or environment and climate action.

Sheskin Wind Farm has launched a new community benefit fund to support community projects related to education and sustainability in Mayo.
The Sheskin Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund will support individuals, community groups, schools and non-profits within 20 kilometres of the wind farm to start a new community project or develop an existing one.
Eligibility criteria
- Project must address at least one of the following themes: environment & climate action, education, energy, sustainable communities
- Your project serves the community within 20km of the Sheskin Wind Farm, Co Mayo (this radius may change depending on demand – priority will be given to projects close to the windfarm)
- You are an individual, informal community group, school or nonprofit organisation focused on education or environmental action
- If awarded funding, you must complete your project and submit an impact report with both qualitative and quantitative data within 12 months of receiving funds
- You are at least 18 years old or have the permission of a guardian to apply for funding
