Social Farming Ireland presents “Social Farming Open Day” for Social Farming Awareness Week on Shore Farm outside Ballina on Tuesday 7th October 2025.
The Shore Farm, run by Emer Quinn near Ballina, Co. Mayo.
The farm is home to horses, cows, sheep, and other animals, with stables, sheds, a polytunnel, and a sensory trail. Participants can get involved in animal care, gardening, farm maintenance, and creative projects. Emer also runs Shore Farm Pony Therapy and has extensive experience in education and supporting people with additional needs.
