The HSE, Healthy Mayo, and the Mayo County Library System are delighted to announce the launch of the Starting Solids Programme in County Mayo.
These interactive sessions are now available in Westport, Ballina, and Castlebar libraries. It is a collaborative initiative between Dietitians and Public Health Nurses.
The programme provides practical, hands-on guidance for parents and caregivers on introducing solid foods to their infants. Participants will learn when and how to begin the journey of introducing solids to your baby, gain evidence-based information on suitable first foods, discuss allergy & develop confidence in introducing a variety of nutritious foods.
The sessions also provide an excellent opportunity to ask questions directly to both the Dietitian and Public Health Nurse. Parents can receive expert advice on infant feeding, introducing new foods, and any other concerns they may have regarding their child’s nutrition and development.
Free but registration is essential.
