Tidy Towns Special Awards.
These awards are open to all community and voluntary groups, and there are 15 different award categories, each offering prize funds and recognition for initiatives that contribute to local and national priorities.

- Greenways and Active Travel – €5,000
- Sustainable Development Goals – €6,000
- Climate Action Award – €6,000
- Tree Project Award – €1,000
- Gum Litter Taskforce – €5,000
- Young Person in Tidy Towns Award – €5,000
- Town Centre First Award – €5,000
- SuperValu Inclusive Communities Award – €2,000
- Leave No Trace Award – €1,000
- Waters & Communities Award – €7,000
- All Ireland Pollinator Local Authority Plan Award – €10,000
- EPA Circular Economy Award – €3,500
- Tiny Tidy Towns Primary School Award – €9,000
- Bat Conservation Ireland Award – €1,500
- Bat Conservation Ireland Mural Award – €1,500
The closing date for most categories is 9th June 2025, and all submission details can be found via the link above.
Each application typically requires:
- A brief overview of your group and the project
- How the project impacts your local community
- The benefits and who will benefit
- Level of community involvement in the initiative
Please note, the prize money listed may be split between regional finalists and overall national winners.
