Overview
HeritACT is a three-year, European-funded project that activates heritage through engaging experiences aimed at sustainable development. The project involves 14 partners across five European countries and uses seven digital tools (the HeritACT toolkit) to implement nine heritage solutions in three pilot sites: Milan, Elefsina, and Ballina. In Ballina, the project explores how institutional buildings and sites can serve as shared centres supporting the EU Green Deal and the New European Bauhaus, while preserving social, cultural, and artistic heritage and welcoming new communities. In early 2026 six solutions will be progressed in Ballina, reactivating underused spaces for public and community use. This evening event also marks the introduction of HeritACT’s nature-based solution to Kathleen Lynn Lane & Courtyard, scheduled to take place in February 2026.
This event is free but ticketed – tickets are available via Eventbrite(www.eventbrite.ie/e/1980097528009?aff=oddtdtcreator)
